A common belief among Gujaratis (and indeed several other communities in India) is that if money is spent on this day it will bring prosperity and good luck to their families. It's good for following works: movable or fixed works peaceful or Paushtik works, first feeding, Upanayana, marriage. Its nature is Yasha Prada, which can be interpreted as 'fame giver'. ![]() Also known as Govatsa Dwadashi or Guru Dwadashi is celebrated on the 12th day of Aso Vad. Shukla Dwadashi is the name for the 12th Tithi (lunar day). ![]()
